In days past when we were in school, we would have a big bomb fire at the football field of our school for our home coming game and this fire was always huge. Sometimes these fires would become out of control and the fire department would have to be called to put out this fire. After this happened, the school would have the fire department there when the fire was lit so that they could watch over the height of this fire and make sure that it didn't become so big that they couldn't control it. In bigger cities that had more than one team with home coming games the same night, it was usually a pretty busy night for them.
We still have bomb fires, but they aren't allowed to have them as big as they were in the past and if this fire is in a neighborhood that has a lot of homes nearby, they are moved out further so as not to be to close. With these bon fires, you used to have a lot of people standing too close and there were a lot of them drinking also. With this going on at the gatherings, people were getting hurt by small burns from the ashes that fell on them and some wou
ld just get too close. So now they have almost cut out the practice of having these types of fires.
Most of the time now, you will find these types of fires on the beach where water is always close by. You still have the same things happening at the beach, but these fires can be put out easier. If you have this type of party, you need to make sure that your friends and family members don't get too close and just have fun. Don't let the small children around this fire, as they have no business being there in the first place. If you have children and you are going to the beach at night, you might want to leave them with a babysitter or leave them with friends.
You can have a bomb fire at anytime or any place as long as there is water handy and you aren't close to homes or someone else's property as long as you have the proper permission from city officials or the proper authorities and your fire is monitored by the fire department. If you don't have this permission and you do this type of fire anyway and you get caught, the fines you will have to pay can be very large.
